I’ve had very little Seaux time as of late so when I get the chance to sit in my Creative space I have to get the most bang for my buck …
Jayni’s School Homecoming dance was right around Halloween . I had already purchased her an Eggplant colored dress that was a great fit but while Visiting Josettes Fabric in Biloxi, MS I spotted the Neon Orange Bridal Satin and I knew it was the perfect color for her !! It was fun and draped wonderfully. It literally screamed to be a Hi Lo tiered skirt. And so we combined the 2 looks and created something that was Just Perfect for Her. She paired it with her Signature Denim Jacket , Nude Shoes and simple Diamond Studs in her ears. With colors this bold she didn’t really need strong Accessories.
It’s Always fun to sew for my Gyrls ..having her wear a Mommy Made to a School Function though was Super Amazing. Kids today are very particular about what they choose to wear and this was not from a Trendy Online Store , so I was Really happy when she suggested switching up her look and going with this Vibrant Hue.
Sauni gifted me several yards of a patchwork Ankara fabric for my Birthday and I’d been just dying to sew it! But i never had the time or the perfect pattern. I wanted to make something that I could dress up or down and possibly wear to work . McCall’s 7774 fit the bill. I modified the pattern just a bit and added darts to the back and made the skirt less full than called for so that I had enough of this Amazing Fabric for a second project. I am thinking I’ll use the rest for a lightweight fall jacket or duster. Then again I do have just enough for a Duvet cover and my room could use a Fall Zhush! Who knows what I’ll make ..but I’ll definitely be making something!
Who knows what I’ll make next or when I ‘ll have the time but keep watching cause you know I just might Surprise Ya!
